Senior Manual QA Engineer

Vidal Health Insurance TPA is seeking a Senior Manual QA Engineer to join our growing technology team in Bangalore. In this role, you'll be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our web applications and services. We're looking for a proactive and detail-oriented professional with a passion for delivering a seamless user experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Take ownership of a complete product, leading its end-to-end quality assurance from planning to release.
• Develop and execute comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and test cases for web applications.
• Perform thorough manual testing, including functional, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Review and approve test cases written by junior QA engineers.
• Conduct database testing using SQL for backend data validation.
• Collaborate with the automation team to review the automation suite and identify testing gaps.
• Contribute to Root Cause Analysis (RCA) using techniques like the 5 Whys and Fishbone Analysis to identify and address the root cause of issues.
• Identify, document, and track defects using a bug tracking tool (e.g., Jira, TestRail, or Azure DevOps) and manage them through the defect lifecycle.
• Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure quality throughout the SDLC.
• Mentor and guide junior QA engineers, sharing best practices and technical knowledge.

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in manual testing of web applications.
• A strong understanding of testing methodologies and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Experience in Root Cause Analysis and familiarity with tools and techniques like the 5 Whys and Fishbone Analysis.
• Hands-on experience with test management and bug tracking tools.
• Solid analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress) to collaborate effectively with the automation team is a plus.
• Exposure to non-functional testing concepts like performance, security, and accessibility is highly desirable.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹800,000.00 per year
