Manual Software Tester

Key Responsibilities

• Understand requirements and create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test cases.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Execute test cases, identify, document, and track bugs using bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla, Trello).
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and resolve issues.
• Ensure software applications meet quality standards before release.
• Prepare test reports and provide feedback to improve software usability and performance.
• Perform cross-browser and cross-platform testing for web/mobile applications.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• Proven experience in manual software testing (14 years preferred).
• Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
• Knowledge of different testing methodologies (functional, regression, smoke, sanity, UAT, etc.).
• Familiarity with bug tracking tools (JIRA, Bugzilla, Mantis, or similar).
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Good to Have (Optional)

• Exposure to SQL queries for database validation.
• Basic knowledge of automation testing tools (Selenium, Postman for API testing).
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environment.
