About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Manual Tester with 6–9 years of experience

in software testing.

The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and functionality of applications

through structured testing processes.

The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, preparing test documentation,

executing test cases, and ensuring defects are identified and resolved effectively.

Key Responsibilities

- Analyze business and functional requirements to design comprehensive test scenarios and test

cases.

- Perform functional, regression, system, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT).

- Execute manual test cases, record test results, and track defects to closure using tools like JIRA,

ALM, or Bugzilla.

- Validate data accuracy and workflows across different platforms and modules.

- Prepare and maintain test documentation including test plans, test cases, and test summary

reports.

- Participate in requirement reviews, design discussions, and provide test estimations.

- Ensure adherence to QA best practices, processes, and standards.

- Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and product owners to clarify

requirements and resolve defects.

- Mentor junior QA team members and contribute to process improvements.

Required Skills & Competencies

- Strong experience in manual testing with proven expertise in test case design, execution, and

defect reporting.

- Hands-on experience with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, HP ALM,

Bugzilla, TestRail).

- Solid understanding of SDLC and STLC methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall.

- Knowledge of functional testing, regression testing, integration testing, system testing, and UAT.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.

- Ability to handle complex business scenarios and work independently.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Exposure to API testing and database validation using SQL (added advantage).

- Knowledge of automation testing concepts (nice to have, but not mandatory).

Education

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- Relevant certifications (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE) are a plus
