Job Description

Role Overview: As a Software Test Engineer, you will perform tests in strict compliance, independently guide other testers, and assist test leads. You will be responsible for constructing test scenarios and systematic test cases based on customer user stories or requirements, executing test cases, ensuring that components or systems perform as expected, documenting test results, reporting defects, and facilitating process improvements based on engagement lessons learned. Additionally, you will be expected to develop the proficiency of other testers on the project. Key Responsibilities: - Construct test scenarios and systematic test cases based on customer user stories or requirements - Execute test cases and ensure that components or systems perform to expectation - Document test results, report defects, and facilitate process improvements - Develop proficiency of other testers on the project - Participate in requirements management activities such as seeking clarification, understanding, and reviewing - Test features/components with a good understanding of the business problem being addressed - Conduct gap analysis between requirement fitment and technology stack - Report test activities of a small team including multiple testers - Estimate time, effort, and resource dependence for work performed - Manage knowledge by consuming and contributing - Design test scenarios, update RTM, obtain sign-off, create test cases and test data, conduct smoke testing, execute test cases/scripts, identify, log, and track defects, retest, and log productivity data Qualifications Required: - Ability to review user stories/requirements to identify ambiguities - Ability to design test cases/scripts as per user stories/requirements - Ability to set up test data, execute tests, and identify anomalies - Knowledge of methodologies, tools, types of testing, testing processes, and testing standards Additional Details: The job summary includes responsibilities such as coordinating and completing software and system testing activities, analyzing requirements, providing estimates, building and executing test cases, reporting results, and creating/maintaining automated test cases.
