Job Overview:

We are seeking a Manual & Automation Tester with 2-3 years of experience to join our dynamic QA team. The ideal candidate will be involved in both manual and automation testing to ensure the quality and performance of our software applications. You will play an essential role in detecting issues, verifying fixes, and collaborating closely with developers and other team members to deliver reliable software. Strong communication skills are crucial to effectively report issues and collaborate with different stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities: Manual Testing:

• Execute and document manual test cases based on functional and technical specifications.

• Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing on web and mobile applications.

• Identify, report, and track defects in defect management tools like JIRA.

• Collaborate with developers and product managers to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.

• Automation Testing:

• Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using Selenium, Cypress, or other frameworks.

• Integrate automated test scripts with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab, etc.).

• Continuously improve test automation processes to ensure maximum coverage and efficiency.

• Perform automation testing for repetitive tasks, functional, and regression tests.

• Defect Tracking and Reporting:

• Log, track, and prioritize defects using tools like JIRA or Bugzilla.

• Communicate defect status and resolution to stakeholders clearly and effectively.

• Work with the development team to reproduce and verify bugs.

• Test Reporting & Documentation:

• Provide regular updates and detailed reports on testing progress, results, and identified defects.

• Maintain test case documentation and ensure it stays up-to-date as requirements evolve.

• Collaboration:

• Participate in sprint meetings, daily standups, and retrospectives with Agile teams.

• Effectively communicate test progress and results to project managers and other team members.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Experience:

• 2-3 years of hands-on experience in both manual and automation testing.

• Experience with automation tools like Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, or similar.

• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).

• Solid experience with test case creation, execution, and defect management.

• Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in programming/scripting languages like Java, Python, or JavaScript.

• Familiarity with version control tools such as Git.

• Experience with JIRA, TestRail, or other defect and test management tools.

• Soft Skills:

• Excellent communication skills – Ability to articulate issues, bugs, and test results clearly in both verbal and written forms.

• Attention to detail and ability to think critically to identify edge cases and potential defects.

• Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment and communicate with cross-functional teams.

Desired Skills (Optional):

• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Bamboo, or GitLab.

• Knowledge of performance testing tools such as JMeter.

• Experience with cloud-based testing environments or services like AWS or Azure.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields (or equivalent work experience).
