As a Metal Fabricator, your primary responsibility will be to read and interpret engineering blueprints accurately. You will be required to construct base templates if necessary and measure and mark out cutting and bending lines. Setting up metalwork machinery such as rollers, drill presses, flame cutters, brakes, and shears will also be part of your duties. It is essential to double-check design specifications before commencing cutting work, fabricate and construct metal components, and perform grinding and finishing on completed products. Quality checks on finished products and adherence to state and company safety regulations are crucial aspects of this role. Additionally, completing job reports will be required as part of your job responsibilities. To be successful in this role, you should possess a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and have previous work experience as a metal fabricator. AWS certification and advanced welding experience are highly desirable. An in-depth understanding of engineering design and manufacturing procedures, along with the ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints, is essential. Proficiency with metal fabrication tools including shears, rollers, flame cutters, and drill presses is required. Advanced mathematical and engineering skills are necessary, as well as the ability to lift and manipulate large metal objects and stand for long periods. This position is full-time and permanent, with a day shift schedule. The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a total work experience of 5 years preferred.,
