Manager, SAP Manufacturing Plant Maintenance

Position Title:

SAP Functional Consultant Manufacturing (PP/QM/PM)

Location:

Primary Purpose

This role is responsible for delivering SAP solutions for Plant Maintenance (PM), Quality Management (QM), and Manufacturing (PP) within Zoetis global ERP landscape. The consultant will design, configure, and implement SAP PM and QM solutions aligned with business requirements. The role will also involve the integration of third-party applications with SAP systems, ensuring efficient and compliant business processes for manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as an SAP Solution Architect and Functional Designer for SAP PM, QM, and Manufacturing solutions.
• Gather business requirements and provide estimations for SAP project requests.
• Conduct thorough impact analysis for all enhancement requests.
• Hands-on design, configuration, and testing of SAP PP-PM, QM, and related solutions.
• Integrate SAP with third-party applications for seamless data flow.
• Support SAP PP-PI, MRP, and MPS solutions.
• Collaborate with business representatives to identify and design SAP solutions, ensuring cross-module integration.
• Provide coaching and training to bring team members up to speed and enhance productivity.
• Manage any direct reports or contractors for the assigned position.
• Provide global and regional system support for SAP Manufacturing solutions.
• Ensure audit, SOX, and other compliance requirements are met.
• Drive continuous process improvements and monitor performance metrics.

• Integrate SAP Manufacturing ERP systems with broader digital transformation initiatives.
• Lead and mentor junior team members to achieve objectives and foster professional growth.

  : Manage colleagues and/or contractors reporting to this position.

  : Responsible for ensuring cost-effective and efficient delivery of SAP solutions.

Education and Experience

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or a related field.
• Master's degree (MBA) in Operations Management or Manufacturing-related discipline is preferred.

Experience:

• 8+ years of SAP configuration and delivery experience, with at least 3 full lifecycle implementations in SAP QM and PP-PM.
• Strong functional/technical proficiency in SAP PP, PM, and QM modules.
• Experience in the pharmaceutical or life sciences industries with knowledge of GxP compliance is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with SAP S4/HANA for Manufacturing and Quality solutions preferred.
• Ability to independently lead end-to-end solution delivery.
• Extensive experience with external system integration, data transfers, and reporting.

Technical Skills Requirements

• SAP Configuration Experience

  :
• Detailed knowledge of SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) master data and transactional activities: Maintenance notifications, orders, preventive maintenance, calibration, task list management, etc.
• Integration with other SAP modules like MM, QM, PP, and FI-CO.
• Experience with maintenance planning, work orders, maintenance plans, and project processing.
• Expertise in data migration (using LSMW) and SAP report creation (e.g., Smart Forms for Breakdown Slips, Calibration Certificates).
• Knowledge of configuration for serial number management, BOM, task lists, measuring points, PM work orders, and maintenance plans.
• Experience in testing SAP solutions (unit testing, integration testing, UAT).

• Interfaces & Reporting

  :
• Experience working with interfaces, custom reports, and system enhancements.
• Development of custom Smart Forms for client-specific requirements.
• Experience with data migration from legacy systems using LSMW.

  : 3:00 AM to 12:00 PM EST (ICC Second Shift)

• Travel

  : Expected travel is between 20-50%, depending on project demands.

• Weekend Work

  : Occasional weekend work may be required to minimize business impact during system changes or go-lives.

• Time Zone Overlap

  : This role may require additional overlap with EST time zone during critical go-lives or production activities.
