Manager, Real Estate Equity Valuation

As a Manager in Real Estate Equity Valuation, your role will involve independently performing complex valuation assignments on a wide range of illiquid real estate investments across various property types and global locations. You will lead specific projects by analyzing scope of work, gathering data, and preparing/reviewing valuation models to ensure high quality and timely delivery. Additionally, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting valuation results clearly to team leaders and stakeholders. Your expertise will be crucial in analyzing and developing investment assumptions to support senior management in strategic decision-making. Key Responsibilities: - Independently perform complex valuation assignments on illiquid real estate investments - Lead specific projects by analyzing scope of work, gathering data, and preparing/reviewing valuation models - Communicate valuation results clearly to team leaders and stakeholders - Analyze and develop investment assumptions to support strategic decision-making - Manage internal/external data collection workflows with minimal supervision - Conduct ad-hoc analysis and special projects as required - Assist in responding to audit inquiries by gathering information and preparing reports - Ensure consistent application of valuation metrics and identify inconsistencies in data inputs Experience Required: - 8+ years of real estate knowledge with a focus on valuation/appraisal in commercial real estate - Experience in investment management firm is advantageous - Expertise in financial modeling and complex transaction structuring in real estate sector - Understanding of valuation approaches: discounted cash flow analysis, sales comparison approach, and cost approach - Track record of managing multiple demands under tight deadlines - Proficiency in MS Excel, Argus Enterprise, and key data sources like Costar, Bloomberg, Capital IQ, etc. Personal Attributes: - Highly detail-oriented with commitment to precision and quality - Strong organizational skills to efficiently manage complex tasks - Proactive in identifying issues and ensuring accuracy and completeness - Take ownership of assigned work and follow through - Capable of working with cross-functional teams and external parties - Collaborative team player with strong work ethic and reliability - Excellent written and verbal communication skills Education: - Bachelor's or master's degree in accounting, finance, economics, or related fields; master's degree, CA & CFA preferred Please note: The company follows an Equal Opportunity Employment Policy and for positions based in Los Angeles, qualified applicants with a criminal history will be considered in accordance with applicable laws.,
