Manager - Product Development (Bangalore)

POSITION OVERVIEW

Design & Development of Current Products variants of Tipper bodies and solutions and co-ordination with Plant for engineering support for Tipper body production of new variants.

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Preparation of Techno-commercial proposal for tipper variants and solutions
• Co-ordination with Application Engg for detail information of new variants
• Preparation of GA drawing and packaging data for customer approval
• Technical calculations Axle load distribution, stability calculations
• Co-ordination with CFT (SCM, Operations, QA) for procurement, manufacturing feasibility studies
• Hydraulic kit selection and integration
• Engg. Support to Application engineering with regard to execution from plant
• Preparation of estimated BOM for costing team for commercial quote calculation
• Preparation and Release of manufacturing data
• Prepare 3D models and 2D engineering drawings using Autodesk Vault.
• Preparation of Production BOM in ERP (Infor LN) with the help of Production engineers
• Co-ordination with plant team for Prototype manufacturing progress and resolving issues observed during production.
• Support plants during prototype development / inspection
• Preparation of Spare part manuals
• Engineering Change Management
• Study of Engineering change requirements and Preparation of ECO and release to plants and CFT for review
• Release of ECN and update ERP BOM
• Periodic monitoring of open ECNs and track their implementation
• NPD/SPD Projects
• Work with NPD/SPD team for variant creation or issue resolutions
• Support on VAVE/ should costing/standardization of current tipper bodies
• Site visits for performance study of product / field support
