Job Description

Overview:
We are looking for a Data Analyst to dive deep into merchandising data and drive insights that power inventory, assortment, and sales decisions at Lenskart.The ideal candidate is highly data-driven, curious about patterns in consumer demand, and proficient in analytics tools to turn raw data into actionable insights.
  • Data Analysis & Insights: Analyze large datasets across SKUs, categories, stores, and online channels to identify trends, anomalies, and growth opportunities.
  • Inventory Analytics: Monitor stock levels, turnover, and product freshness; highlight slow-moving items and optimize stock allocation.
  • Assortment & Performance Modeling: Support data-backed evaluation of collections, SKUs, and new product launches.
  • Pricing & Promotions Analysis: Quantify the impact of pricing, discounting, and campaigns on sales, margin, and inventory.
  • Reporting & Visualization: Build automated dashboards and reports in Power BI / Tableau / Excel to track KPIs, highlight actionable insights, and support decision-making.
  • Data Quality & Governance: Ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness of merchandising data.
  • Ad-hoc Analytics: Respond to business queries with deep-dive analyses, predictive insights, and data-backed recommendations.
Candidate Profile:
  • 13 years of experience in data analytics / data science / business intelligence (D2C, retail, e-commerce, or FMCG preferred).
  • Excellent Academic background, prefer B.Tech./ CAs/ MBAs
  • Strong command of Excel (must have) and experience working with large, multi-dimensional datasets (Proficiency in Power BI/ SQL plus point)
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfort handling large, complex datasets and automating reports.
  • Passion for using data to drive business decisions in merchandising.
