Manager | Java Developer

You have an exciting opportunity to join the Counterparty Risk team as an experienced Java Developer at Macquarie. As part of the risk technology functions, you will be involved in designing, developing, and maintaining Java-based applications using Spring and Spring Boot frameworks. Your role will also involve collaborating with stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions aligned with business requirements. As a Java Developer, you will be expected to follow industry best practices throughout the development lifecycle in an Agile environment. You will tackle complex technical challenges with innovative solutions and mentor junior developers. Your responsibilities will include participating in code reviews, design discussions, and proactively addressing risks to ensure the success of projects. To excel in this role, you should have 9-12 years of strong experience in Java development, with a focus on Spring and Spring Boot frameworks. Proficiency in cloud technologies, particularly AWS, and familiarity with Linux/Unix environments are essential. Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Java multithreading concepts, and scripting using Bash and Python for automation tasks will be advantageous.
