Role Overview: As a Manager, Finance Analytics at Synchrony, you will be a part of the Finance Centre of Excellence organization, supporting the Finance Function directly. You will be responsible for financial operations management, including reporting, analysis, planning, forecasting, and process improvements. Key Responsibilities: - Develop, implement, and maintain complex data models and reporting solutions using SAS, Python, and other analytical tools. - Efficiently handle large datasets to ensure data integrity, quality, and accuracy in reporting and analysis. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather business requirements and translate them into technical specifications for data solutions. - Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) operations on large datasets from multiple sources. - Build automated reporting dashboards and ad-hoc reports to facilitate business decision-making. - Analyze structured and unstructured data to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights. - Optimize code and queries to enhance performance and scalability. - Document processes, methodologies, and analytical findings clearly. - Stay abreast of the latest data analytics trends and best practices to enhance analytics capabilities. Qualifications Required: - Bachelors/Masters Degree in Statistics/Finance/Data Science with 4-7 years of experience in data analytics or data science roles, or 6-9 years of experience in lieu of a degree. - Proficiency in SAS (Base SAS, SAS Macro, PROC SQL) and Python (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, etc.). - Hands-on experience in handling large-scale data, data wrangling, cleaning, and manipulation. - Experience with reporting tools and techniques; familiarity with dashboard tools like Tableau and Power BI is advantageous. - Expertise in SQL and working with relational databases. - Familiarity with statistical modeling, predictive analytics, or machine learning is desirable. - Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or in team environments. - Effective communication skills to present technical information to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
