Manager - Cloud & DevOps

As a skilled and experienced IT professional, you will be joining United Airlines" Platform Engineering and DevOps team. Your role will involve leading the development, deployment, and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure. You will play a crucial part in driving the DevOps culture within the organization to ensure the delivery of a reliable, secure, and efficient platform. Key Responsibilities: - Lead, mentor, and manage a team of DevOps/Platform engineers - Oversee the development and support of CI/CD pipelines - Ensure timely delivery of cloud resources - Identify and implement new processes, tools, and controls to improve efficiency - Drive security remediation efforts by managing vulnerability remediation - Collaborate with leaders and colleagues to develop operational standards such as Scrum and on-call rotation - Develop KPIs to measure and improve team efficiency Qualification Required: - Bachelor's Degree in B. Tech. (Computer Science) or related area of study - 8+ years of overall experience in IT - 5+ years of experience in cloud technology, specifically AWS - 4+ years of experience leading a DevOps team - 3+ years of experience in software development - Strong ability to size and estimate development efforts, define and manage development build plans - Mentorship skills to guide junior engineers and ensure timely deliverables with good code quality - Innovative mentality to adapt to new technologies and provide value to the business - Proficiency in AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, or Kong certification - Experience with AWS EKS, ECS, Lambda; Kong Gateway and Service Mesh; Harness; Terraform Cloud Formation; Dynatrace; Solace; Azure DevOps or Jira (Note: Master's degree is preferred as a qualification),
