As a News Anchor for our media team, you will have the exciting opportunity to host news bulletins, ground reports, interviews, and digital shows. Your responsibility will include presenting local stories in a clear, conversational, and engaging manner. You will engage in conducting on-ground interviews with public figures, locals, and officials. Collaboration with the editorial and video teams for script and shoot planning is crucial for the success of our programs. Additionally, you will be involved in assisting in social media content creation, such as Reels, Shorts, and Live Sessions. It is essential to stay updated with local developments, politics, and social trends to deliver informative and relevant content to our audience. To excel in this role, you should possess strong communication skills in Hindi, with Angika or Maithili fluency being a significant advantage. A confident on-camera presence, clear voice, and screen appeal are prerequisites for connecting effectively with the audience. Your ability to write or adapt scripts for camera delivery will be essential for delivering impactful presentations. While previous experience in anchoring/reporting is preferred, we also welcome freshers with talent and enthusiasm for local journalism, storytelling, and civic issues. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, ground-level reporting environment. In terms of compensation and perks, the salary ranges from 6,000 to 15,000 per month, based on experience and format. Performance-based incentives are offered for viral content and show formats. You will have exposure to an audience of over 100K across various platforms. This role also presents the opportunity for growth into a lead show host or reporter with dedicated series in the future.
