Maintenance Executive

The Maintenance Executive is responsible for ensuring reliable and safe operation of all plant machinery and utilities through effective preventive maintenance, prompt breakdown handling, and strict adherence to food safety, hygiene, and safety standards. The role supports continuous production by minimizing downtime, maintaining equipment efficiency, and coordinating closely with production, quality, and external service teams.

Key Responsibilities

1. Technical Maintenance & Breakdown Management

• preventive maintenance

• machine breakdowns promptly

• installation, commissioning, alignment, trial runs, and basic calibration

• plant rounds

• Ensure machines are operating within defined performance and safety parameters.

2. Documentation & Maintenance Planning

• daily breakdown reports, preventive maintenance checklists, and maintenance logs

• spare parts usage and consumption

• production team

• critical spare parts

• Assist in improving maintenance schedules and procedures based on recurring issues and breakdown analysis.

3. Food Safety, Hygiene & Cold Chain Management

• effective cleaning and sanitation

• properly dismantled, cleaned, sanitized, and reassembled

• FSSAI, GMP, and HACCP

• refrigeration systems

• Immediately report and rectify any deviations that may impact product safety or quality.

4. Safety & Statutory Compliance

• safety procedures

• Identify unsafe conditions such as open guards, loose wiring, damaged panels, oil spillages, or exposed moving parts and take immediate corrective or escalation action.

5. Coordination & Support Role

• external service engineers, OEMs, and vendors

• Follow daily tasks assigned by the Maintenance Engineer or Supervisor and provide timely and clear status updates.

Qualifications & Experience

• Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering

• 25 years

• Knowledge of mechanical systems, basic electrical troubleshooting, pneumatics, and refrigeration systems.
