Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Preventive Maintenance (PM):

Schedule and perform regular inspections and servicing of machinery.
Replace worn-out parts before breakdowns occur.

Corrective/Breakdown Maintenance:

Troubleshoot and repair equipment failures promptly.
Analyze root causes of breakdowns to prevent recurrence.

Predictive Maintenance:

Use data, sensors, and condition monitoring to predict equipment failure.
Apply techniques such as vibration analysis, thermography, or oil analysis.

Maintenance Planning & Scheduling:

Develop maintenance plans and logs.
Coordinate maintenance activities to avoid production interruptions.

Spare Parts Management:

Maintain an inventory of essential spare parts and tools.
Ensure timely procurement of required materials.

Equipment Installation & Commissioning:

Install new machines and ensure proper calibration and performance.
Train operators on basic equipment handling.

Documentation & Record Keeping:

Maintain maintenance history, breakdown reports, and PM records.
Support audits and compliance requirements (e.g., ISO, GMP).

Safety & Compliance:

Follow safety protocols during maintenance activities.
Ensure equipment meets regulatory standards.
