We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Plumber to join our facilities team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our site's plumbing systems through expert maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting. Key Responsibilities: Maintain, repair, adjust, and replace the entire plumbing system, including waste-vent-water piping, valves, and the various fixtures and equipment served by this system. Perform visual inspections for the detection of abnormal operation and actively correct deficiencies to ensure system integrity. Receive work orders and coordinate work to fit the schedule as assigned by the Supervisor/Manager, prioritizing tasks effectively. Estimate time and materials required for work orders accurately to ensure efficient resource allocation. Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition, strictly following all prescribed safety regulations. Respond promptly to calls from facility departments requesting immediate assistance for plumbing problems. Be available and respond to emergency call-in situations to address critical plumbing issues. Cooperate with members of the department and facility on all emergency conditions, ensuring the safety and comfort of internal customers, visitors, and staff. Perform preventive maintenance on related equipment as assigned by the Supervisor to minimize breakdowns and extend equipment life. Ensure the availability of necessary stock and tools in order to maintain, repair, or replace malfunctioning equipment efficiently. Coordinate with other departmental employees on diversified work projects, fostering a collaborative environment. Make daily rounds of the building and related equipment as assigned by the Supervisor, proactively identifying potential issues. Stay updated on and adhere to all current safety regulations. Attend all scheduled staff training and safety meetings to enhance skills and knowledge. Key Competencies: ITI Certificate in Plumbing or a related field. Ability to read blueprints and specifications accurately. Good communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to troubleshoot related systems effectively and efficiently. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Physical stamina to perform demanding tasks and lift heavy objects when necessary.
