Mainframe Senior Lead

Role Overview: You will be responsible for defining, developing, and leading an interactive team to implement scalable application solutions. Additionally, you will be involved in mainframe application development, automation, and support using various technologies such as COBOL, CICS, DB2, JCL, VSAM, MQ-Series, and SQL. Your role will also include mainframe performance tuning and capacity planning to optimize resources effectively. Key Responsibilities: - Define, develop, and lead an interactive team for implementing scalable application solutions - Mainframe application development, automation, and support utilizing COBOL, CICS, DB2, JCL, VSAM, MQ-Series, and SQL - Mainframe performance tuning and capacity planning to reduce I/Os, CPU Time, MSUs, and MIPs using tools like Strobe, iStrobe, and Platinum Detector - Perform file format and comparison using File-AID, version management using Endeavor, debugging and unit testing using Intertest and Abend-AID, and job scheduling using Control-M - Knowledge of MQ is a plus - Work closely with a structured SDLC process including Analysis, Design, Development, Testing, and Production implementation - Follow QA Procedures, guidelines, and controls - Utilize critical thinking and problem-solving skills to translate business requirements effectively Qualification Required: - Minimum 7+ years of work history in application development, preferably in Banking and Financial Services - Experience in a structured SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) process - MCA/B.
