Mainframe Project Manager

As a Project Manager responsible for managing Mainframe Projects in India, you will be expected to demonstrate effective leadership and ownership throughout the project lifecycle. Your role will involve communicating with executive stakeholders from both Kyndryl and the Customer, showcasing good communication skills and the ability to manage actions, issues, and risks effectively. Leading project teams to drive tasks with strict timelines will be a key aspect of your responsibilities. It is crucial to maintain the confidence of the Customer and Kyndryl executive leadership, especially in critical situations. You will be required to track Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and tasks on Microsoft Projects and present updates proactively. The role may require you to work within the Canada business window and occasionally stretch during certain situations. Proficiency in setting up VTS for Mainframe, upgrading z114 to z16 at remote locations, and implementing Mainframe Disaster Recovery will be essential skills for this position. As a Senior Technical Project Manager, strong communication and stakeholder management skills are imperative. You will interact directly with the Customer, necessitating good presentation and relationship building abilities. Experience or knowledge in Mainframe Storage (VTS), Disaster Recovery setup for Mainframe, inter-connectivity with DASD, Mainframe networking, and upgrading Mainframe z114 to z16 will be advantageous for this role.,
