Mainframe Modernization Solution Architect

Role Overview: As a Mainframe Migration to Cloud Solution Architect, you will be responsible for defining the technical strategy, architecture, and blueprints for migrating and modernizing complex mainframe applications and data to a target public cloud platform. Your role is crucial in ensuring that the resulting solution is secure, scalable, cost-optimized, and aligned with the client's business objectives. Key Responsibilities: - Databases & Files: Proficiency in managing DB2 for z/OS, VSAM, IMS DB/DC. - Transaction Systems: Expertise in working with CICS, IMS/TM. - Utilities: Familiarity with TSO/ISPF, SPUFI, and mainframe schedulers such as CA-7 and Control-M. - Cloud & Modernization Expertise: Demonstrated expert-level knowledge in at least one hyperscale cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP) with relevant certification, like Solutions Architect Professional. - Modern Languages: Hands-on experience with modern development platforms like Java/Spring Boot, C#/.NET, Python, and Node.js. Qualifications Required: - Experience: A minimum of 10 years of overall IT experience, with at least 5 years as a Solution Architect leading large-scale enterprise modernization projects.
