Key Responsibilities: Strategy Development: Develop and implement a modernization strategy for Mainframe Infrastructure that focuses on enhancing innovation, automation, productivity, and efficiency. This includes z/OS/ISV upgrades, PTF management, and the integration of AIOps. Technical Guidance: Provide expert advice and support to Sysprogs on Mainframe modernization, emphasizing the use of Ansible, Python, and other latest tools such as z/OSMF, Watson X for z, and AIOps. Opportunity Identification: Leverage your extensive knowledge of Mainframe architecture to identify and prioritize modernization opportunities. Collaboration: Collaborate closely with Sysprogs, SDMs, vendors, and clients to maximize the use of our capabilities and services. Business Development: Work alongside the sales team to identify and pursue new business opportunities. Industry Awareness: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments related to Mainframe strategies to maintain a competitive edge. Required Technical and Professional Expertise 10+ Years of technical expertise as a z/OS SysProg, with a focus on Mainframe transformation, and generative AI. Strong knowledge of cutting-edge technology solutions and implementation methodologies. Specialization: Proficiency in Ansible and Python for Mainframe infrastructure modernization. Upgrade Process Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the z/OS and ISV upgrade processes via z/OSMF. Modernization Tools: Familiarity with Mainframe infrastructure modernization tools, including z/OSMF, AIOps, WatsonX for z, and ZOWE. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adjust to changing priorities. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
