Job Description

Job Responsibilities: Offer wide support for Db2 and/or IMS (Transaction and Database) products, along with Level 3/4 assistance for software delivery teams. Implement parts or the entirety of the technical solution based on an agreed-upon technical design. Provide technical support and insights on the application of technology to a specific business segment. Document and share project learnings. Resolve complex DBMS issues with expertise in troubleshooting, researching, and resolving multifaceted problems. Skilled in troubleshooting, researching, and resolving complex issues. Create and maintain documentation. Capable of translating technical details into clear and understandable written form. Translate technical details into actionable work tasks. Support systems in a 24/7 on-call rotation. Proficient in using Db2 and/or IMS commands to start and stop Db2 and/or IMS, and manage Db2 and/or IMS connections with other subsystems (including CICS, Db2, and other IMS systems). Possess working knowledge of Db2 and/or IMS system internals and configuration. Experienced in interacting with vendors, including searching their knowledge databases. Familiar with and experienced in using IBMLINK.
