Location: Coimbatore, India Key Responsibilities · Customer Specification Analysis: Review customer requests for quotation (RFQs), datasheets, Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), and project specifications to determine the exact requirements for valve type, size, material, pressure rating, and accessories (like actuators). · Valve Selection and Sizing: Use engineering knowledge and proprietary software to select and size the correct on-off valves (e.g., ball, gate, globe, butterfly, check valves) that meet process conditions (fluid type, pressure, temperature, flow) and ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., API, ASME, ISO). · Proposal Development: Prepare detailed technical and commercial proposals, including cost details, technical deviation lists, and compliance statements, in coordination with the sales and engineering teams. · Technical Support and Clarification: Act as the primary technical contact for customers during the bid evaluation and post-order stages, addressing technical queries and participating in meetings or presentations. · Cross-Functional Collaboration: Liaise with design, production, quality assurance (QA/QC), and sourcing departments to ensure technical feasibility, manufacturability, and timely order fulfilment. · Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, datasheets, and user manuals. Required Skills and Qualifications: · Education: Typically, a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Instrumentation Engineering. · Experience: Several years of experience (e.g., 1-3 years) in a similar role within the valve manufacturing or a related process industry (oil & gas, power plants, chemical, water treatment) is highly preferred. · Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of valve design, types, materials, and relevant international standards (e.g., API 6D, ASME B16.34).
