Machinist

As an operator in this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining lathe and milling machines. You will review drawings, instructions, blueprints, or samples to ensure accurate production. Additionally, you will take precise measurements for cutting or shaping and select the appropriate machine and settings for a given task. Key Responsibilities: - Plan the proper sequence of tasks to complete the assignment. - Monitor production, adjusting feed and other settings as necessary. - Maintain inventory of completed products. - Check output for quality assurance and document or discard defects. - Identify the need for and perform machine maintenance and minor repairs. - Maintain a safe and clean workstation. - Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
