As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for various critical tasks related to technical and mechanical engineering. Your main qualifications include a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. You should possess a strong understanding of technical and mechanical engineering principles. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word is essential for this role. Effective communication skills are crucial as you will be required to interact with colleagues, customers, and suppliers regularly. Familiarity with engineering drawings, costing of components, various types of raw materials, CNC, VMC, and HMC machines is necessary. Knowledge of fabrication and machining processes is a must-have for this position. Your main responsibility will include conducting feasibility studies of new Requests for Quotations (RFQs), detailed costing in coordination with the Cross-Functional Team (CFT), understanding customer products and expectations, obtaining machining quotations from the New Product Development (NPD) and Production teams, raising inquiries to suppliers for raw materials and hardware, following up on quotations, and updating customer documentation. Additionally, you will be expected to perform other day-to-day activities as required. In terms of work style, you should excel in interpersonal skills, maintain cordial relationships with colleagues and customers, approach tasks with a proactive attitude, and demonstrate strong organizational skills. A disciplined work ethic and the ability to manage tasks efficiently are key attributes for success in this role. Please note that this position requires working from Monday to Saturday, encompassing a 6-day work week.,
