Machine Packaging Operator

Makes necessary adjustments with very little support to keep an even flow of cans to the packaging area and minimize the filling line downtime. Responsible for labeling cans or to set the labeler for different can size. Responsible for labeling cans with the correct label. Responsible for the quality of the label being applied and the scrap rate of labels. Maintains a clean and safe work environment. Operates the labelers in an efficient manner

Makes necessary adjustments, complex and routine to keep labelers running efficiently with a limited amount of scrap. Assists in setting/checking the Videojet and Marsh equipment as needed. Reads and understands a fill formula sheet, pulls information from the formula sheet to make sure the correct labels are used. Operates, without assistance, an automatic labeler. Changes the labeler from one size can to another; includes changing the label table, glue bar, and adjusting the rails and height of the labeler.

Checks for label quality and makes the necessary adjustments. Keeps label machine clean. Fans the labels and check each part number to make sure the operator is using the correct label. Wears all required safety equipment in the designated area
