Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Edge Banding Machine Operator with at least 1 year of hands-on experience in furniture manufacturing. The candidate will be responsible for operating edge banding machines to apply edge bands to wooden panels, ensuring precision, durability, and quality in finishing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate automatic and semi-automatic edge banding machines as per production schedules.
• Set up machine parameters such as temperature, speed, and pressure based on panel size and material.
• Load panels and edge banding material correctly and monitor the process during operation.
• Ensure proper bonding of edge tape to MDF/plywood/particle board panels without damage or misalignment.
• Inspect finished panels for quality, trimming accuracy, and smooth finish.
• Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning of the edge banding machine.
• Report any mechanical or material issues to the supervisor for quick resolution.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Coordinate with the production team for timely output.

Skills & Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of experience operating edge banding machines in a furniture or woodworking unit.
• Familiarity with various edge band materials (PVC, ABS, veneer, etc.) and panel types.
• Basic troubleshooting knowledge for edge banding machine operations.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality finishing.
• Ability to read measurements and handle tools efficiently.
• Team player with a positive attitude and work discipline.

Educational Qualification:

• ITI / Diploma in Woodworking / Furniture Technology or equivalent technical field preferred.
