This role is pivotal in ensuring equipment readiness, innovation alignment, and execution excellence in a cutting-edge electronics production environment. Required Skills & Experience: Lead special purpose machine (SPM) development and ensure on-time delivery of automation systems. Review and evaluate machine designs in collaboration with internal and external engineering teams. Oversee PLC programming tasks and ensure integration with test and production systems (PLC experience preferred). Drive the Design Approval Process (DAP) and ensure adherence to product development milestones. Manage performance and deliverables of equipment suppliers to ensure compliance with project timelines and specifications. Collaborate closely with project teams including R&D, production, and quality for successful equipment implementation. Apply a solid understanding of printed electronics manufacturing techniques in production equipment design. Apply basic understanding of electrical/electronic panel design in reviewing industrial equipment layouts. Utilize sound knowledge of testing equipment for integration into high-performance production environments. Evaluate and promote the implementation of AI-based solutions in production automation and industrialization processes. Incorporate principles of Industry 4.0 and 5.0 into the design and deployment of next-generation industrial systems. Desired Skills: Proven expertise in designing and implementing special purpose machines (SPMs). Hands-on experience in test equipment and measurement systems for high-volume production environments. Strong project management abilities with a track record of leading equipment build and procurement cycles. Working knowledge of electrical and electronic panel design and integration. Sound understanding of AI applications and Industry 4.0/5.0 trends in manufacturing. Experience in equipment supplier performance tracking and contract management. Understanding of Cp-Cpk and RR systems for equipment capability validation. Detail-oriented approach with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Educational Qualification: Bachelors degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering or a related field; advanced degree preferred. Minimum of 10 years of experience in industrial automation, equipment procurement, or related fields within the electronics industry, preferably with a focus on printed electronics.
