As a visionary Lead Software Developer, you will drive the development of modern eCommerce platforms powered by Shopify Plus and the MACH architecture (Microservices, API-first, Cloud-native, and Headless). In this strategic role, you will lead a cross-functional team of developers, designers, and DevOps engineers to build scalable, high-performance commerce solutions for our growing portfolio of digital brands. You will take ownership of the technical vision, enforce best practices, and ensure seamless integration across systems to deliver robust and future-ready eCommerce solutions. Your responsibilities will include guiding and mentoring a team of developers, conducting code reviews, and defining architectural standards to provide technical leadership. You will design and build modular, scalable eCommerce applications on Shopify Plus, leveraging Liquid templates, Storefront API, and headless frontends (Hydrogen, React, etc.). Additionally, you will deliver solutions using microservices, API-first design, cloud-native tools, and headless technologies as part of the MACH architecture implementation. You will oversee the integration of third-party tools and platforms (CMS, ERP, PIM, CRM) and internal services to enable seamless commerce workflows. Ensuring system resilience, performance, and compliance with eCommerce security best practices will be a key aspect of your role. Collaborating closely with Product, UX/UI, Marketing, and Operations teams, you will translate business needs into functional and scalable solutions. Staying ahead of evolving tech trends in the eCommerce and MACH landscape will be crucial for innovation and improvement. To qualify for this role, you should have 5+ years of software development experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or team lead capacity. Proven expertise with Shopify Plus, Liquid, Storefront API, and headless commerce is essential. Strong experience with MACH technologies including Microservices architecture, RESTful/GraphQL APIs, cloud platforms, and headless CMS is required. Proficiency in modern JavaScript/TypeScript and frameworks like React, Next.js, or Vue.js is expected, along with hands-on experience in CI/CD, Docker, and Git. Experience with serverless architecture, JAMstack, Agile/Scrum development, and DevOps workflows will be beneficial. Your proven ability to lead cross-functional and distributed teams will also be valued.
