Page 1 of 2 Job Profile Title: Engineering Manager Control Systems Qualifications: Bachelors or Master degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering from a reputed University. Experience: 10 to 15 years’ experience in relevant field. Min. 05 years’ experience in project management role. Expected Job Role: Understanding specifications and offering solutions with the available technology Preparation of System Design Drawings like GA drawings, Fabrication Drawings, Internal Layout Drawings, Installation Drawings, Internal & External Wiring Diagrams. Preparation of Acceptance Test Procedures, Quality Assurance Plans, Technical Manuals. Selection of system components, preparation of part lists and estimation of price Managing engineering team to Carry out complete engineering of an order including preparation of drawings, release for manufacturing, testing procedures, FAT schedule etc. and getting customer approval for the same. Resource Planning and allocation for execution of projects including tools & tackles. Co-ordination with customer/external agencies for approvals, inspections and clearances for the entire lifecycle of the project Preparing final technical documentation for the order Manage and resolve project risks and issues. Ensuring the project is delivered in a cost effective and timely manner meeting the required quality level. Ensuring compliance with relevant defense standards Managing and communicating project schedules/timelines, problem resolution progress and customer expectations to internal and external stakeholders. Customer interaction and onsite visits for feasibility studies, technical discussions. Technical support to Sales for technical offer and cost estimates Interaction with internal departments for co-ordination of various activities Page 2 of 2 Technical competency: Hands-on experience in system design and architecture of electronics control systems having hardware platforms like VME, VPX, cPCI including single board computers, different types of I/O cards and switched fabric. Experience on working with Integration of electronic system with Real Time Operating System like LynxOS, VxWorks, Red HAT Linux and Embedded PC’s & PLC’s Working knowledge on DCS, PLC hardware and I/O types Hands-on experience on various communication interfaces and network topologies including Ethernet, Fibre Optic network, RS485, CAN, etc. Understanding specifications and offering solutions with the available technology Preparation of System Design Drawings like GA drawings, Fabrication Drawings, Internal Layout Drawings, Installation Drawings, Internal & External Wiring Diagrams. Preparation of Acceptance Test Procedures, Quality Assurance Plans, Technical Manuals. Experience in different enclosure designs for panels & operating consoles, Heat load calculation, Design of panel layouts. Product compliance testing for Environmental and EMI/EMC as per MIL Standards. Understanding Customer requirements / RFP specifications and offering solutions with the available technology. Excellent analytical & inter-personal skills with proven ability in driving the project Hands-on knowledge and skills on integration project related to defense domain (Like Integrated Machinery Monitoring & Control (IMCS), Integrated Propulsion Control System (PCS), Integrated Platform Management System (IPMS) will be an added advantage. Knowledge of Field instruments such as valve, sensors and isolators.
