Job Summary: We are seeking a highly analytical and technically sound Costing Electrical to join our Supply Chain Management team. This role focuses on the costing of high-voltage (HV) and low-voltage (LV) cables, wiring harnesses, and lighting systems in electric vehicles. The position requires proficiency in zero-based costing (ZBC), should-costing methodologies, and engineering drawing interpretation, along with strong collaboration skills to support sourcing decisions and supplier negotiations. Key Responsibilities: • Develop and maintain zero-based cost (ZBC) models and should-cost estimates for HV/LV cables, connectors, and lighting components. • Analyze engineering drawings, BOMs, and specifications to extract technical details for accurate cost modeling. • Evaluate supplier quotations and provide cost breakdown analysis to support fact-based negotiations and cost optimization. • Work closely with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Procurement, R&D, Finance) to influence cost effective design choices and validate manufacturing feasibility. • Benchmark electrical component costs across suppliers, regions, and industry standards. • Monitor commodity pricing trends (e.g., copper, plastics, connectors) and assess their impact on total product cost. • Participate in the RFQ process, supplier selection, and commercial negotiations by providing clear cost justifications and data-driven insights. • Conduct value engineering (VE) and design-to-cost (DTC) initiatives for electrical systems. • Support supplier audits and visits to verify production processes, cost drivers, and tooling assumptions. Required Qualifications : • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field. • 4 + years of experience in costing, product development, or sourcing within the automotive or EV industry, with specific focus on electrical systems. • Hands-on experience with zero-based costing and should-cost models for wiring harnesses, lighting systems, and related components. • Strong understanding of electrical drawings, 2D/3D CAD, BOM structures, and technical specifications. • Proficiency in cost modeling tools (Excel, ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle). • Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation support skills. • Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with external suppliers.

The position will report to the Head of the Discipline. Locations: Noida/ Bengaluru/Mumbai Minimum Experience: 15 years Job Description: People focus: The role has a key responsibility for ensuring the health, safety and welfare of staff. Technical Leader is expected to demonstrate effective & visible leadership across projects, focusing on the ongoing engagement and retention of employees through the development of individuals and building high performing teams technically. Business, operational & commercial management – delivering on business plan & budgetary targets. Commercial governance – project reviews; forecasting and resource management. Divisional Resource Management – iCRC utilisation. Technical governance of the Intelligent Infrastructure team output working with UK technical governance of all deliverables. Key point of contact with the UK business, direct liaison with UK leadership, and promoting the iCRC and ensuring its success. Line Manager – PDRs, promotion, training & mentoring.
