As a Color Grading Artist at YAAS!, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the visual storytelling of our content through expert color correction and grading. Your responsibilities will include working on a wide range of projects, from studio productions to outdoor shoots and events, ensuring that each piece of content meets the highest visual standards. To excel in this role, you will need to have a strong background in color science and filmmaking, along with the ability to adapt your skills to different shooting conditions and environments. Your key responsibilities will involve performing advanced color correction and grading for both short-form and long-form content across multiple platforms. You will be tasked with handling complex outdoor shoots and event footage that present various lighting conditions and technical challenges. Collaborating closely with directors and cinematographers, you will work towards achieving the desired visual aesthetics and mood for each project while maintaining consistent brand identity and visual standards across all client assignments. To succeed in this role, you should have 3-5 years of professional color grading experience coupled with a robust filmmaking background. Proficiency in industry-standard color grading software such as DaVinci Resolve, Avid Color, and Adobe Premiere Pro is essential. Your expertise should extend to color grading outdoor shoots, events, and challenging lighting conditions, showcasing a deep understanding of color theory, exposure, and cinematography principles. Furthermore, your experience with various camera formats, codecs, and color spaces will be vital in optimizing raw footage for different delivery formats. You will be expected to create and maintain color palettes and LUTs tailored to specific projects and brand requirements, as well as troubleshoot technical issues related to footage captured in demanding environments. Meeting tight production deadlines while upholding exceptional quality standards and providing creative input on visual storytelling and cinematic aesthetics will be integral aspects of your role. In addition to your technical skills, your ability to collaborate effectively with directors, editors, and other post-production team members, along with your strong problem-solving capabilities for both technical and creative challenges, will be essential. A portfolio that demonstrates your versatility across different genres and shooting conditions, as well as an understanding of HDR workflows and emerging display technologies, would be advantageous.
