Role Description: As the Service Head , you will be responsible for leading and overseeing all aspects of our service operations in the lead acid battery sector. This is a critical role, requiring you to manage and guide our service engineers, maintain quality standards, and ensure customer satisfaction. You will act as the final decision-maker on battery condition assessments and claims, ensuring that the service process is efficient, accurate, and aligned with company goals. Your reporting will be to the plant head on daily basis. Responsibilities: Service Engineer Reports: Verify service engineers’ reports and flag any incorrect applications or discrepancies. Battery Condition Assessment: Approve the final verdicts on battery conditions, ensuring accuracy and reliability. Claim Management: Manage the claims, identifying root causes for increased claim percentages and implementing action plans with the plant head. Performance Oversight: Monitor the performance of the entire service team, providing guidance and support where necessary. System & Policy Implementation: Develop and implement new systems and finalize service policies to improve operational efficiency. Qualifications & Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in service management within the lead acid battery manufacturing industry (inverter, e-rickshaw, automotive sectors preferred). Graduation in Science (preferably in Chemistry, Physics, or a related field) to ensure a strong technical understanding of the products and their applications. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze data and implement corrective actions. Proven experience in managing teams and developing service processes. Ability to work cross-functionally with plant operations and other departments. Strong communication and decision-making skills.
