PXL job no Job description Division: MARKETING & SERVICES Direction: MS / TOTALENERGIES MARKETING INDIA PRIVATE LIMITED JOB TITLE R&D Manager Industrial fluids SITUATION IN ORGANIZATION n+1 job title: R&D senior manager for Industrial Fluids n+2 job title: Head of TCAP JOB DIMENSIONS Responsible for product development activity for industrial oils and mainly for hydraulic oils Coordination with TCAP team (Lubricant team, Tribology and Analytical team), with OneTech colleagues and the global business line for providing technical solutions based in France. ACTIVITIES Performs work requests R&D studies and technical assistance - in the Industrial domains in charge. Manages and prioritize the daily activities of the technicians and provide regular updates on the work progress to R&D organization and internal clients, taking into accounts all HSEQ requirements. Ensures quality of the test results and publishes memo/technical notes in a timely manner. Conducts literature survey to develop expertise and scientific knowledge in new areas. Brings new/innovative ideas in industrial domains in charge to maintain TEs leadership position. Ensures co-ordination with the external labs whenever outsourced activity is required. Ensures the maintenance, metrology and appropriate follow-up of all equipments under his/her responsibility. Facilitates the development and professional growth of assigned technician(s). Contributes to the preparation of budget and long term plan of TCAP. Takes into account and coordinate IP activities for all projects undertaken. Interacts in a collaborative manner with other team members to accomplish organizational goals; provides ideas to improve organizational and operational efficiency. CONTEXT AND ENVIRONMENT Industrial fluids market is in very strong and constant expansion at the global level. The development of formulated Industrial fluids is one of the business ambitions for the years to come. This is due to high growth and high margins for the specialty product ranges. These new technical requirements and an effort of innovation to make our products very competitive and sustainable. You will be in contact with many interlocutors: Internally: within Fuels and Lubricants R&D line and particularly with Lubricants, Tribology and Analytical teams, working closely with CRES teams (OT) and product engineers from business line (TELUB). Externally: Customers, OEMs, Suppliers, Third-party laboratories, academic partners, research centers, universities ACCOUNTABILITIES Timely management of activities related to projects and sub-projects in collaboration with PJM and sPJM. Follow technological evaluation in the domain to keep up with latest developments Data analysis produced from TCAP and/or from the external laboratory and ensure correct data are reported To check and file IP wherever possible Maintain the documentation related to the All audits and support whenever required REQUIRED PROFILE A research manager with an education qualification of M. Tech or M. Sc. in organic chemistry, lubricant technology, surfactant technology or equivalent. With 3+ years of relevant industrial R&D experience in industrial lubricant field, especially on hydraulic oils development. With relevant experience on lubricant formulation and additives chemistry knowledge (knowledge of DOE). With human / organizational skills as below: organized, autonomous, with good scientific rigor open-minded, creative and have a sense of adaptability equipped with interpersonal skills can account and work transversally Language level required: fluent in English (written and oral both), knowledge of French will be added advantage.
