Summary of the Role The Senior Counselor at LearnOverseas is responsible for guiding students and families through the end-to-end overseas education journey. This includes evaluating academic and extracurricular profiles, shortlisting suitable universities, mentoring students on applications, essays, and interviews, and ensuring seamless support until admissions and visas are secured. Success in this role is measured by student outcomes, satisfaction levels, and adherence to LearnOverseas premium counseling standards. As a senior team member, this position also involves mentoring junior counselors, driving process improvements, and representing LearnOverseas at workshops, schools, and events. Responsibilities Conduct in-depth profile evaluations and develop personalized overseas education roadmaps for students. Advise students on university shortlisting, balancing ambition with realistic admission chances. Mentor students in drafting compelling SOPs, essays, and LORs that reflect authenticity and impact. Guide families on admissions requirements, timelines, scholarships, and financial planning. Provide end-to-end support through standardized tests, applications, interviews, and visa processes. Maintain accurate records of student progress in internal systems and ensure timely follow-ups. Mentor, train, and review the work of junior counselors to ensure consistency and quality. Represent LearnOverseas at schools, parent meetings, and outreach events to strengthen the brand. Collaborate with operations and sales teams to ensure smooth onboarding and service delivery. Stay updated with global education trends, policies, and opportunities to provide expert advice. Qualifications Bachelors/Masters degree in Education, Psychology, Management, or related fields. 47 years of experience in overseas education counseling or academic advising. Proven track record of successful placements in top global universities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong interpersonal abilities. Deep knowledge of international admissions processes (US, UK, Europe, Canada, Australia, etc.). Ability to handle multiple student cases simultaneously with empathy and professionalism. Experience mentoring or leading junior team members is highly preferred. Certifications in counseling, career guidance, or international admissions (NACAC, UCLA Extension, etc.) will be an added advantage. Show more Show less
