Key Responsibilities 1. Develop, create, and publish engaging social media content (images, videos, copy, stories, reels, etc.) tailored for platforms including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and YouTube. 2. Ensure all content aligns with brand guidelines, tone of voice, and visual identity standards. 3. Monitor social media trends, hashtags, and emerging formats to keep content fresh, relevant, and competitive. 4. Collaborate with marketing, design, and sales teams to support campaigns, promotions, and product launches. 5. Manage content calendars and scheduling to ensure consistent posting across all platforms. 6. Analyse performance metrics, engagement rates, and audience insights to optimise future content strategies. 7. Stay updated on platform updates, algorithm changes, and best practices to maximise reach and engagement. 8. Contribute creative ideas for campaigns, storytelling, and community engagement initiatives. Required Skills 1. Excellent command of written and spoken English, with strong grammar and communication skills. 2. Proven experience of 2-8yrs as a Social Media Content Creator, Social Media Coordinator, or in a similar role. 3. In-depth knowledge of major social platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, X/Twitter, etc.) and their respective best practices. 4. Experience in motion graphics and video editing. 5. Familiarity with paid social advertising and influencer marketing. 6. Basic understanding of SEO and its application to social media. 7. Ability to consistently follow and apply brand guidelines across all content. 8. Creative mindset with strong skills in visual storytelling and copywriting. 9. Proficiency with content creation tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, or similar). 10. Familiarity with content scheduling tools such as Loomly, Metricool. 11. Knowledge of social media analytics with the ability to interpret data to optimize performance. 12. Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines. 13. Ability to quickly adapt to changing trends and platform updates. Role & responsibilities Brightsun Travel are looking for a travel content writer to join our marketing team to help create content for our blog, webpages, social media and marketing copy for our global portfolio of travel brands. Responsibilities include conducting thorough research on travel-related topics, generating ideas for new content types and proofreading articles before publication. If youre familiar with producing online content and have an eye for detail, wed like to meet you. You’ll also work on PR with research and ideas for promoting industry-related topics (combining online sources, interviews and studies), brand campaign promotions and you’ll support on events and marketing campaigns, giving you broad experience. We’d love to hear from you if you have excellent social media experience, in creating strategies, curating content and analyzing data to understand the impact and effectiveness of your campaigns. If you are excited to showcase ideas and keep on top of competitor knowledge to help build our brand and reputation, this is the job for you. You’ll need at least 3 years’ experience of copywriting, please provide examples of your work in your application including blog links, published articles and links to any social media content you have produced. Travel industry experience is preferred. Your written and spoken English should be excellent and you must enjoy huge attention to detail as this role is for you to write, amend, proof and edit copy across advertising mediums including newspaper, radio scripts, billboards and more. Preferred candidate profile BA in English, Journalism or related field Proven work experience as a Content Writer, Copywriter or similar role minimum 3 years Portfolio of published articles Experience doing research using multiple sources Excellent writing and editing skills in English Ability to meet deadlines Familiarity with software content and calendar management tools such as Hubspot/Loomly/Mailchimp/Later/Canva
