Job Purpose

To supervise and coordinate the day-to-day sample collection logistics, ensuring timely pickups, proper temperature control, and smooth operations, while supporting the team to maintain high customer satisfaction and compliance with quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Daily Operations Supervision

- Oversee sample collection logistics to ensure timely pickup and delivery to the laboratory.

- Monitor and enforce cold chain compliance to maintain sample integrity.

- Allocate routes and schedules to ridersfor efficient coverage.

2. Team Management

- Supervise logistics staff, riders, ensuring adherence to schedules and SOPs.

- Conduct daily team briefings to communicate bookings, priorities, and targets.

- Support hiring, onboarding, and training of new logistics staff to maintain operational readiness.

3. Compliance & Quality

- Ensure all logistics activities follow NABL/ISO/ICMR standards and company SOPs.

- Track operational KPIs such as On-Time Sample handovers, and Route Compliance.

- Ensure riders maintain proper documentation (handovers via app, temperature logs, etc.).

4. Coordination & Communication

- Liaise with sales, operations, and lab teams for smooth handling of Samples and escalations.

- Provide real-time updates on delays, missed pickups, or operational challenges.

- Coordinate with vendors or third-party partners to ensure adequate manpower and transport resources.

5. Reporting & Documentation

- Maintain daily reports on handover fulfillment, delays, and incidents.

- Share key operational updates with the Manager Logistics for planning and performance reviews.

Key Skills & Competencies

- Strong understanding of last-mile logistics or healthcare diagnostics operations.

- Knowledge of cold chain and temperature-controlled transportation.

- Good team supervision, problem-solving, and communication skills.

- Basic proficiency in MS Excel, Google Sheets, or logistics management software.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced and time-sensitive environment.

Qualifications & Experience

- Graduate/Diploma in Operations, Logistics, Supply Chain, or Healthcare Management.

- 24 years of experience in logistics/operations, preferably in diagnostics, healthcare, or last-mile delivery.

- Prior exposure to home sample collection logistics will be a plus.
