Coordinate marine cargo insurance, damage/shortage surveys, and claims. 2) Domestic Logistics & Last Mile Plan inbound drayage and last mile deliveries (FTL/LTL), rigging/crane for heavy equipment, and site readiness hand offs (e.g., CMM/inspection equipment installs). Ensure E Way Bill compliance, state border requirements, and returns/reverse logistics (RMA, warranty swaps). Build a milk run and consolidation model for suppliers around Bengaluru and pan India. 3) Warehousing & Inventory Control Set up the warehouse (layout, MHE, binning/ABC, 5S, safety) and implement cycle counts, stock accuracy (99%), FEFO/lot tracking for sensitive items. Implement or integrate WMS/TMS with ERP (SAP/Oracle/Tally) and shipment tracking dashboards. 4) Partner/Vendor Management & Cost Control Source and contract CHA, 3PL, freight forwarders, and local transporters; define SLAs, rate cards, and quarterly business reviews. Run RFQs, negotiate Incoterms (EXW/FOB/CIF/DAP/DDP), and drive landed cost optimization (consolidation, mode mix, packaging density). Monitor KPIs: OTD, clearance lead time, freight per kg/CBM, detention/demurrage, claim recovery time. 5) Process, Systems & Governance Author SOPs/SWIs for import/export, bonded operations (MOOWR), E Way Bill, documentation, and exception handling. Create a control tower: weekly dashboards, aging/ETA tracking, and risk reviews for exec visibility. Drive compliance audits (Customs/GST), maintain data room and statutory registers; enable GST ITC accuracy on imports. 6) Cross Functional & Global Coordination Work closely with India Procurement, Production, Quality, and Finance; align with Korea HQ and China suppliers on shipping plans, packing specs, and documentation accuracy. Support localization (India sourcing) with logistics input (lead time, lanes, packaging, MOQ/EOQ). 7) Team & Capability Building Hire and mentor a small team (analyst/warehouse execs); implement training on ICEGATE, E Way Bill, packaging, and HSE Preferred candidate profile 712 years in end to end logistics/import export for industrial machinery, capital equipment, or electronics; greenfield/scale up experience strongly preferred. Excellent vendor management and negotiation; crisis handling (port congestion, D&D, damage claims). Fluent English; ability to work across time zones. Korean language is a strong plus.
