Role & Responsibilities: - Dispatch Coordination: Supervise and manage the dispatch team, including dispatchers, drivers, and packers. Oversee the timely packing, sorting, and loading of bakery products for delivery. Ensure that all orders are fulfilled correctly, ensuring product quality. Review daily orders and delivery schedules to ensure efficient dispatch planning. Monitor and optimize the dispatch process to meet company delivery targets and deadlines. Team Management: Lead, train, and motivate the dispatch team to maintain high standards of productivity and safety. Assign tasks to team members, track progress, and resolve any issues that may arise during the dispatch process. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to improve team performance. Ensure staff is properly trained in the handling, packaging, and transport of bakery goods. Quality Control: Ensure that products are packaged according to company standards to prevent damage during transportation. Monitor the temperature and storage conditions of perishable items to ensure food safety compliance. Check and verify all outgoing orders for accuracy, ensuring correct quantities and product types are dispatched. Logistics and Scheduling: Maintain an accurate inventory of dispatched goods and track the status of deliveries. Coordinate with drivers, ensuring they have the necessary documentation and instructions for each delivery. Ensure compliance with delivery deadlines, monitoring traffic or weather-related delays. Manage the return of undelivered or rejected products and ensure appropriate records are kept. Health and Safety: Ensure that dispatch operations follow all company safety protocols and regulations. Conduct regular safety checks of equipment, vehicles, and dispatch areas to ensure a safe working environment. Enforce hygiene standards and food safety regulations within the dispatch process. Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and maintain dispatch reports, including delivery logs, inventory records, and any issues encountered during dispatch. Monitor and track delivery performance metrics, providing reports to management. Assist with managing the return of stock or damaged goods, ensuring proper documentation is maintained.
