About the Role As Transport Manager, youll own the onboarding of new Transporters and managing operations for the entire cluster. Youll also drive key operational metrics by regularly youll take complete ownership of processes allotted to you and work with various stakeholder achieve team goals. Youll continuously work towards identifying gaps and providing recommendations for improving our processes. What you will do Onboarding of new Transporters. Identify and onboard new transporters onto the network on an ongoing basis. Track and own the performance of different Lanes in your cluster. Ensure compliance with operational processes. Own and drive key operational metrics end to end and achieve performance targets What you will need Graduate or Post Graduate degree in any discipline 3-5 years of work experience in the e-commerce logistics domain, preferably in Middle Mile operations Experience in partner onboarding and training in the Middle Mile and sorting operations Experience of having worked in the similar geographic location in similar capacity would be a plus and so will the Experience in control tower and field operations

Position Description Position Title : Logistics Operations Manager Qualifications : Any Graduate Experience : 12+ Years Job Purpose: The role is responsible for managing end-to-end logistics operations at the plant, including vehicle arrangement, ICD import/export coordination, internal dispatches, and equipment utilization. It involves ensuring the on-time flow of scrap, raw materials, finished/semi-finished goods, and waste by-products, along with overseeing billing, documentation, diesel usage, vendor management, and reporting. The job also focuses on cost control, SOP development, client coordination, and team performance management aligned with logistics KPIs and safety norms. Key Responsibilities: Responsible for Internal (Inter & Intra Plants) and ICD movements, LMV and Equipment Operations at Plant. Handling of Import / Export and Empty Containers at ICD. Providing export empty containers to VPL/other as per booking plan and schedule. Coordinate with VPL/other plants for stuffing and release of export containers. Providing timely Import containers delivery to VPL/others. Coordinate with Scrap Yard for Off-loading of import container. Arrangement of Vehicle for on time inter plant and intra plant movement of scrap, raw material and semifinished/finished material, Slag, ETP, FES dust etc. Preparing budget norms and budget revenue of equipment and vehicles and monitoring of operating costs. Arrangement of vehicles for domestic dispatches. Over all Vehicle of Internal & Equipment Maintenance Management Checking & verification of Bills of in house and hired vehicles and equipments. Billing of ICD movements, Internal dispatches, LMV, fixed & On Call work orders of equipments. Requisition for diesel, preparation of challans and LRs. Generating daily reports, on line reporting as and when required and distributing to other areas of the business. Responsible for analysing reports and updating company database as required, suggesting any changes that could be implemented to improve service quality. Communicating effectively with clients and responding to their requirements. Responsible for preparation of SOP. Developing and directing all transportation relationships and activities. Benchmarking with the best in class Logistics operational parameters. Negotiating and bargaining transportation prices. Liaising and negotiating with customers and suppliers. Define KRAs and KPI for self & subordinate. Ensure safety and housekeeping in the concerned areas. Perform any extra duties as assigned by the management.
