Logistics Officer

Job Summary:

The Logistics Executive will be responsible for managing the end-to-end logistics operations including dispatch planning, coordination with transporters, export documentation, inventory tracking, and ensuring timely delivery of materials and finished goods. The role requires strong coordination skills, attention to detail, and prior experience in logistics within jute/textile companies.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Dispatch & Shipment Management

• Plan and execute daily dispatches of finished goods as per production and customer schedules.
• Track consignments and update internal teams/customers on dispatch status.

2. Export Logistics & Documentation

• Prepare export-related documentation
• Coordinate booking, stuffing, clearance, and Bill of Lading.

3. Inventory & Warehouse Coordination

• Maintain accurate stock levels of finished goods and packaging materials.
• Maintain MIS reports: dispatch reports, stock reports, logistics trackers.

4. Vendor & Transport Coordination

• Negotiate rates with transporters to optimise cost and delivery timelines.
• Coordinate with transporters, courier partners, and freight forwarders to ensure timely shipments.

5. Compliance & Record Keeping

• Ensure all statutory documents are prepared accurately.
• Maintain complete records of shipments and logistics expenses.

6. Cross-Functional Coordination

• Communicate dispatch schedules to relevant departments.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Graduate in Logistics, Supply Chain, or any relevant field.
• Minimum 2+ years of experience in logistics operations in jute bag or textile industry.
• Knowledge of export documentation, E-way bill, and logistics compliance.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems, and email communication.
• Strong coordination, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
