Responsible for the vital logistics coordination of a commercial trucking fleet, primarily focused on optimizing efficiency, ensuring compliance, and maximizing profitability . Key duties include sourcing and negotiating profitable freight loads using industry software, developing optimal routes while strictly adhering to DOT/FMCSA Hours of Service (HOS) regulations, and managing real-time communication with drivers to provide instruction and resolve any operational issues like delays or breakdowns. The role requires strong geographical knowledge, negotiation skills, proficiency with ELD/TMS systems , and a commitment to maintaining excellent relationships with brokers, shippers, and drivers to ensure timely and compliant delivery of goods across North America.
