As a Linux Administrator at Wipro Limited, you will be responsible for administering Linux systems and ensuring their optimal performance. Your role will involve various tasks such as creating, extending, and troubleshooting file systems using LVM concepts, validating multipath, adding LUNs, and enabling multipath. It will also be your responsibility to evaluate and correct OS vulnerabilities by patching servers and coordinating with vendors in case of hardware and OS level issues. You will play a crucial role in managing server access and bootable issues, including fixing grub, and troubleshooting OS level problems to ensure seamless server operations. Additionally, you will be required to implement changes as per the application team and DB team requirements at the OS level and follow the defined Dos and Dont's as per the SLA and Wipro and Customer Process adherence. Your expertise in service management tools such as NTP, SSH, AUTOFS, etc., will be essential in maintaining server performance and availability. You will also be expected to handle log rotation, manage FS usage, and perform tasks like changing permissions and ownership as needed. The ideal candidate for this role must have a solid background in Linux Administration, with at least 5-8 years of experience. Experience in OS migration will be considered an advantage.
