Qualcomm India Private Limited is looking for an enthusiastic individual to join their Engineering Group, specifically in the Software Test Engineering department. As a Software Test Engineer, you will be responsible for testing Qualcomm Sensing Hub features for Qualcomm products. This includes test planning, test case development, and execution, both in lab and in the field with various mobile/handheld products. You will also be involved in developing test automation modules for the sensor automation framework using C# and Python, as well as verifying and calibrating sensors in embedded HW. Your role will also include testing communication and information sharing between devices embedding Qualcomm Sensing Hub, test case automation and maintenance, and triaging issues observed during testing. You will work on isolating these issues into different test framework components, SW modules in embedded target SW or HW, and driving the resolution of the observed issues across various teams. Additionally, you will support test, SW development, and system teams in analyzing and debugging observed issues in embedded targets. To be successful in this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field with 2+ years of Software Test Engineering experience. Alternatively, a Master's degree with 1+ year of experience or a PhD in a related field is also acceptable. You should have at least 1 year of work or academic experience with Software Test or System Test, developing and automating test plans and/or tools. A minimum of 4-6 years of experience with testing embedded systems and developing automated test cases/automation frameworks is required. Proficiency in C and/or C++, as well as prior experience with developing and debugging embedded code and Android application programming is necessary. Your detail-oriented, thorough, and analytical approach, along with excellent communication skills, will be crucial in this role. You should be able to time-share and prioritize between multiple tasks, and work well in a team environment. An excellent understanding of debugging and isolating issues in embedded devices, as well as a basic understanding of different radios, audio, camera features in mobile phones, oscilloscope, and Qualcomm HW protolab is beneficial.
