What does this role hold for you Advocate for our customer, and guide teams to deliver well-executed and on-brand experiences by using our design system. Partner with our Design Systems team to make plans to evolve the components and styles for our internal tooling needs. Moderating empathy research sessions Designing flows and digital front end feature experiences that are incredibly simple, elegant and integrated for every product we conceptualize, research, and launch Contributing to high-level strategic decisions with the rest of the product and executive team Partnering with product managers and engineers to oversee the user experience of a product from conception until launch Work alongside the broader Design Leadership team to craft our teams culture, processes, and tools. Responsibilities : Define design roadmap, align team priorities and deliverables to the company overall strategic goals Help designers advocate for best practices by providing a strong voice for design within experience development Provide regular, direct and impactful feedback and design Critiques beyond their team. Communicate business decisions and impact metrics with other designers/ teams User Interaction Design (60%) The core responsibility of this role is to create the engagement experiences and interactions for our housing customers from end to end This will functionally span everything from sketching initial ideas for digital user experience flows, to creating production-ready wireframes and comps for mobile app and website experiences Customer Research (30%) A key step in our ideation and strategy process will be customer research. That means writing interview scripts and talking to customers one- on-one, writing and conducting research surveys, and getting feedback on initial new product designs. This is a highly specialized skill that will be an important component of this role, but secondary to the design work. Intra team Strategy (10%) The teams will be highly collaborative and therefore a component of this role will be to continually participate and interact with in- house teams like Product, Tech, Analytics and Sales team for a better understanding of the product Qualities we value for this position : Passion for identifying and solving real consumer and business problems Effective articulation of ideas and design solutions. Think of the bigger picture, have a holistic view while also diving deep when required A strong design vision with a passion for iterating in collaboration with your team Translation of quantitative qualitative insights into design decisions A fantastic storyteller who is at ease presenting to, and can influence, senior executives Apply if you have : A portfolio which highlights strong understanding of service and interaction design Can efficiently use skills to develop interaction flows and needed new designs within existing and new visual systems and design languages 6-8 years of experience Degree or Diploma in Applied Arts / Visual Communication / Graphic Design or equivalent experience. InDesign, After Effects are a plus. Proficiency in Sketch, Figma, Zeplin, Illustrator or any Visual design and Wire-framing tools.
