We are expanding our India team and looking for experienced US Residential Mortgage Underwriters with a strong QM and Non-QM underwriting background to support Secondary Market Due Diligence Reviews. You'll work on complex loan portfolios, delivering quality reviews for leading U.S. investors and aggregators. Responsibilities Perform end-to-end underwriting reviews of loans underwritten for the secondary market Review credit, compliance, income, assets, collateral, and TRID adherence Identify and document gaps, risks, and inconsistencies in underwriting files Ensure alignment with agency/investor guidelines, regulatory standards, and client overlays Provide clear written feedback, escalate red flags, and support continuous improvement initiatives Work in coordination with QC leaders, audit, and compliance teams Qualifications Minimum 5 years of mortgage underwriting experience Hands-on experience with QM and Non-QM loan underwriting Strong understanding of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA/VA guidelines Working knowledge of TRID and other compliance regulations Ability to work independently in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment Strong documentation, audit, and communication skills

Job Description: Responsibilities: • Conduct thorough reviews of borrower payment histories and understand servicer-specific transaction codes. • Assess borrower’s ability to repay and identify risks related to property condition, title, etc. based on servicer collection notes. • Read and understand US mortgage modification agreements. • Identify defects in title from updated title reports. • Prepare detailed reports and summaries for management review. • Collaborate with departments for accurate and timely processing of asset reviews. • Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices. • Utilize Microsoft Office products, especially Excel, for data analysis. • Provide recommendations for process improvements and risk mitigation. Qualifications: • Minimum 3 years of experience in seasoned asset reviews, particularly with borrower payment histories, collection notes, modification agreements, and title reports. • Proficient in Microsoft Office (strong focus on Excel). • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail skills. • Strong communication and teamwork abilities. • Knowledge of servicer codes and practices.
