Job Description: Sr. Accounts Executive Industry: Plastic Containers Manufacturing Position Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Sr. Accounts Executive to lead our finance and accounts function for a leading plastic container manufacturing company. The Accounts Manager will play a critical role in overseeing the organizations financial operations, compliance requirements, and corporate relations. The ideal candidate must be capable of managing complex accounting activities, handling banking operations, supporting import-export processes, and ensuring regulatory compliance while leading a team of accounting professionals. This position requires someone with strong financial acumen, leadership qualities, and a proactive approach to resolving financial and operational challenges. Key Responsibilities 1. Accounts & Finance Management - Supervise and control day-to-day accounting operations including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, general ledger, and reconciliations. - Ensure timely preparation of accurate financial statements, MIS reports, profit and loss statements, and balance sheets. - Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. - Implement and monitor internal financial controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard company assets. - Manage statutory compliance related to GST, TDS, Income Tax, Professional Tax, and other applicable regulatory requirements. - Handle statutory audits, internal audits, and tax audits by coordinating with external auditors and Chartered Accountants. - Provide financial insights to management for decision-making on cost optimization, pricing, investment planning, and budgeting. - Maintain accurate fixed asset registers and oversee depreciation accounting. 2. Banking & Loan Facilities - Establish and maintain strong professional relationships with banks and financial institutions to ensure smooth operations of banking activities. - Manage working capital requirements, overdraft facilities, term loans, and project financing. - Prepare and submit proposals, CMA data, and supporting documents for new loan applications, renewals, or enhancements. - Negotiate interest rates, repayment schedules, and loan terms with banks to secure favorable terms for the organization. - Handle issuance and management of Letter of Credit (LC), Bank Guarantees (BG), and bill discounting facilities. - Monitor day-to-day banking transactions, fund flow management, and ensure timely payments to vendors and employees. 3. Corporate Customer & Incentive Management - Coordinate with corporate clients to manage customer accounts, credit limits, and timely collection of receivables. - Resolve customer queries regarding invoices, payments, and account reconciliations in a professional and timely manner. - Track and process government incentive schemes, subsidy claims, and refund applications with proper documentation. - Maintain accurate customer account records and ensure timely issuance of account statements. - Support management in drafting and negotiating financial terms in corporate contracts and agreements. 4. Import & Export Operations - Oversee all import and export-related financial documentation, including bills of entry, shipping bills, and customs clearance paperwork. - Coordinate with Customs House Agents (CHA), freight forwarders, shipping lines, and regulatory authorities. - Maintain records for export incentives, duty drawback claims, and ensure timely submission of required documents. - Provide support in logistics cost analysis and optimization for international shipments. 5. Team Leadership & Process Improvement - Lead, train, and mentor the accounts and finance team to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and compliance in all tasks. - Allocate responsibilities among team members and monitor their performance regularly. - Introduce automation, ERP enhancements, and process improvements to increase productivity and reduce errors. - Ensure effective communication between accounts, sales, procurement, and operations departments. - Develop SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for accounting processes and ensure adherence across the organization. 6. Compliance & Audit - Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements including company law, taxation, and labor laws. - Coordinate with statutory auditors, tax auditors, and internal auditors for smooth execution of audits. - Prepare schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documents required during audit processes. - Stay updated with changes in accounting standards, tax laws, and compliance regulations, and implement them in the organization. - Ensure timely filing of tax returns, statutory reports, and submission to relevant authorities. 7. Strategic & Analytical Responsibilities - Conduct financial forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis to support business planning. - Provide detailed analysis of financial performance, highlighting risks, opportunities, and corrective measures. - Support management in long-term financial planning, expansion decisions, and capital investments. - Analyze market trends, raw material costs, and competitor financial performance to provide insights for strategic decisions. Key Skills & Competencies - Strong knowledge of accounting standards, taxation laws, and corporate finance principles. - Proficiency in ERP/accounting software such as Tally, SAP, or equivalent. - In-depth knowledge of banking operations, loan management, and financial negotiations. - Excellent understanding of import-export regulations, DGFT policies, FEMA, and RBI guidelines. - Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate teams effectively. - Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for interacting with stakeholders, customers, and auditors. Qualifications & Experience - Education: Chartered Accountant (CA), CMA, MBA (Finance), or M.Com with strong professional background. - Experience: Minimum 812 years of relevant experience in finance, accounts, and banking, preferably in the manufacturing or industrial sector. - Industry Preference: Candidates with prior experience in plastics, packaging, or related manufacturing industries will be given preference.
