As a Lead Software Engineer at Salesforce, you will have the opportunity to contribute to shaping the future of Commerce Search. You will lead feature development across the software lifecycle, from gathering requirements to designing, building, testing, and deploying solutions. Your expertise will be instrumental in scaling our search services to support low latency and high throughput requirements. Your responsibilities will include mentoring team members, presenting designs, developing test strategies, and driving developer productivity through best practices. To be successful in this role, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or possess equivalent practical experience. With at least 9 years of object-oriented programming experience, you should have a strong understanding of programming languages like Java or C++. Experience with Git/GitHub, automated testing, and SaaS development is essential. Additionally, familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and search technologies such as Lucene, Elasticsearch, or Solr would be advantageous.
