Department: Refrigerator R&D / Acoustic & Thermal Engineering Reporting To: Refrigerator Head R&D Job Type: Full-Time Job Summary: We are looking for a technically proficient engineer with experience in noise reduction and thermal insulation technologies for refrigerators. The candidate will contribute to the design, testing, and optimization of acoustic and insulation systems to enhance product performance, user comfort, and energy efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Acoustic Engineering: Analyze and reduce noise sources from compressors, fan motors, and structural vibrations. Conduct sound level measurements and frequency analysis using acoustic testing equipment. Collaborate with design teams to implement noise-dampening materials and structural modifications. Insulation Systems: Evaluate and optimize insulation materials (PU foam, vacuum panels, etc.) for thermal efficiency. Support development of insulation layouts to minimize heat transfer and improve energy ratings. Work with suppliers to validate material specifications and performance. Testing & Validation: Perform lab and field tests for noise and thermal performance under various operating conditions. Use tools like sound level meters, thermal cameras, and data loggers for diagnostics. Document test results and recommend design improvements. Compliance & Standards: Ensure products meet international noise and insulation standards (e.g., ISO 3744, IEC 60704). Support certification processes and regulatory documentation. Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Acoustics, Materials Science, or related field. 2–8 years of experience in noise control or insulation engineering, preferably in home appliances. Familiarity with acoustic simulation tools (e.g., LMS Virtual.Lab, COMSOL) and thermal modeling. Hands-on experience with sound measurement equipment and insulation testing methods. Preferred Skills: Knowledge of refrigerator systems and component-level noise sources. Experience with PU foaming processes and insulation material selection. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Good communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities. Career Path: This role offers advancement into senior acoustic/thermal engineering roles, product architecture, or cross-functional leadership in appliance innovation.
