As a Test Automation Engineer at Haptik, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automation test suites encompassing API, UI, integration, and regression testing. Your role will involve collaborating with developers and product managers to formulate effective test strategies for new features spanning web, voice, and GenAI-based workflows. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in establishing automated CI pipelines for test execution and reporting, identifying and addressing QA bottlenecks in release cycles, ensuring comprehensive test coverage for critical use cases, and contributing to post-release test automation to mitigate regressions. To thrive in this role, we are seeking candidates with 3-6 years of experience in test automation within the realm of scalable SaaS or platform products. Proficiency in utilizing test automation frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress is essential, along with a strong grasp of API testing tools like Postman, RestAssured, or Karate. Familiarity with CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI, coupled with proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, is highly desirable. An adept understanding of backend systems, experience in Agile/Scrum environments, and exposure to testing LLM-based features, chatbots, or voice assistants will be advantageous.
